Well... Blogger is definetly the tool for learning the basics of what weblogs are and how to build a basic running version. It is beyond doubt the simplest way to build a dynamic site, you need to know nothing regarding html, php or mysql.
You are extremely limited with what you can achieve, for example its not like you can add a load of customised blocks, but the simplicity, plus the online help thats all built in to this is first class, well done Blogger.

I have been a webmaster since 1997, but only recently have i become a blogger, needless to say i am completly nuts on blogs now. Its so easy to produce content rich sites in very short time in comparison to messing about with trying to design a website from scratch and build it all up in a static html format.
This is the first attempt to play with something powered by "Blogger", all my previous attempts have been with phpnuke, postnuke neither of which i like very much. My staple diet for building blogs has been with phpwebsite and geeklog, both fairly powerful and quite easy to setup and the stable versions seem to be bug free, so i do recommend them to any publishers out there.
Anyhoo back to blogspot, i will endevour to make regular ramblings regarding to blogs and websites built with blog tools..enjoy.
